On Thursday, 27th February Lucy Frazer QC MP, Solicitor General, UK Parliament will be the Whitehall Groups guest speaker. During lunch Ms. Frazer will discuss ‘Modernising the prison service’.

Lucy Frazer QC MP is a British Conservative politician, a barrister by profession, who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for South East Cambridgeshire since the 2015 general election. She was appointed as Solicitor General in May 2019 and is currently Prisons Minister.
Her previous roles include Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice (January 2018 – May 2019) and Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice as well as the Paymaster General and Minister to the Cabinet Office. Lucy has also served on the Education Select Committee.
Lucy practised as a barrister and was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 2013.
