CULS University Challenge – Second Semi-Final Results

The second semi-final of the CULS 2021 University Challenge took place on Monday 12^th of April. It coincided with the latest step in lockdown release, so two of the competitors played their part from newly reopened hostelries with beers and margaritas to hand. The semi-final was nevertheless closely fought and Murray Edwards emerged victorious against the team from Trinity College with a score of 200 points to 160 points.

Murray Edwards (Jonathan Chandler, Gareth Roberts, Alex Storey and captained by Hannah Durden) will contest their first final against last year’s defending champions Fitzwilliam and Corpus (Paul Munro-Faure, Emma Fletcher, Richard Morton and captained by our President, Ian Marcus) at 6 PM on Monday 26^th of April. It promises to be a very competitive affair and the quizmaster will be sure to pose a set of challenging “starters for 10” and specialist rounds. Spectators are very welcome.
