WWIRE – : Women in Real Estate – Next Meeting

6 March 2014

Dear WWIRE Members,

It is with the greatest pleasure and honour that I invite you to our next WWIRE meeting on 6 March 2014 at Strutt and Parker, Mayfair at 9 A.M. for breakfast.

Speakers will be:

Naomi Hawkes, Barrister at 42 Bedford Row and Deputy Chairwoman for WWIRE UK
Lucy Cowen, Recruitment Consultant at Cobalt
Janicka Bassis, our WWIRE Founder (who will come exclusively from Paris to talk to us!)

Our topics:

The Bar Barometer – a survey of barristers’ working lives

Barristers have been providing expert advice and advocacy since the 13th century. Naomi will discuss the results of a 2011 survey of barristers’ working lives which give an insight into the current state of the profession, including the profile of female barristers in the 21st century.

Recruiting and promoting women in real estate

Lucy will talk about how she sees companies hiring and promoting female professionals in real estate, and discuss candidates’ views on the matter. She will also present the Estate Gazette and Cobalt salary survey results and any indication of a gender gap.

International investment

Janicka will talk about investment opportunities in Europe, how to approach investors in different countries and how to make an impact as a professional woman in the real estate industry.
