Dr. Loyd Grossman, CBE is the Chair of the Gresham Council. After starting a career in journalism, Dr. Grossman was diverted into television where, as a writer, presenter or deviser he was involved in a wide range of programmes including Through the Keyhole and MasterChef. Loyd’s lifelong interest in history, the arts and heritage has involved him in a number of organisations. He has been a Commissioner of the Museums and Galleries Commission, of English Heritage and of the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England. He was Chairman of National Museums Liverpool. Loyd is Chairman of The Royal Parks, Chairman of Gresham College and was Chairman of the Heritage Alliance, Chairman of the Churches Conservation Trust, Chairman of the University for the Creative Arts, Deputy Chairman of The Royal Drawing School and a member of the Court of Governors of the LSE. He was appointed CBE in recognition of his services to Heritage.
