CULS University Challenge – Results of the Third Quarter Final

9 March 2022

The third quarter final of the CULS University Challenge 2022 took place at a slightly later time of 8 PM on Monday 7th March. Perhaps fuelled by dinner and several glasses of claret, the contestants were in feisty mood, and on two occasions had the temerity to challenge the quizmaster on the accuracy of the answers. The quizmaster prevailed, as one of the cardinal rules of this competition is that the quizmaster is always right even when he is wrong. Nevertheless the team from Fitzwilliam/Corpus Christi prevailed over team from Trinity College with a score of 260 to 105 points. The last quarter final takes place at the usual time of 6 PM on Tuesday, 22nd March. Spectators are welcome, and indeed encouraged as on the last two occasions spectators have stood in as substitutes.
