The last quarter-final in this years University Challenge featured the 2021 champions, Murray Edwards, taking on a team from Downing/St Catherine’s. As in last year’s final, the competition was fierce and after a fast jump off from the blocks by Murray Edwards, Downing/St Catz caught them up in the final straight and won on the last starter for 10, with a total score of 145 versus 142. Our closest quarter-final so far, and a sign of what we can expect to be two close fought semi-finals between a team from Caius/Girton/St Catz against Robinson/Pembroke on 5 April and the 2020 winners Fitzwilliam/Corpus against Downing/St Catz on 19th April.
