Essendon GC vs Fitzwilliam Old Boys @ Essendon Country Club
After our inaugural match last year in which the CULS golfers narrowly beat Fitzwilliam Old Boys in a tense finale, we have invited them back for a re-match at Essendon Country Club http://www.essendoncc.co.uk/ (AL9 6HN) on 1 July 2014. The format for the day is:
Bacon baps and coffee from 8.30am
9 Holes from 10.00
Homemade soup of the day followed by Chef’s pie of the day for lunch
18 Holes from 13.30
Afternoon tea with sandwiches and scones
There is the option to come for either the whole day (27 holes – £80 a head) or lunch / afternoon round (18 holes – £60 a head) for those that want to get on top of email traffic in the morning.
There will be a team of 12 so places are very limited. Therefore please RSVP to me as soon as possible to confirm your availability. Selection will be entirely at the Captain’s discretion.
Annual CULS Golf Day @ Royal Wimbledon Golf Club
Our annual lunch followed by 18 holes takes place on 2 September 2014 at RWGC http://www.rwgc.co.uk/ (SW19 4UW). All are welcome at this day with 16 tee-times available (and the option for more if we become over-subscribed). Again, places tend to go fast and a deposit will be payable. Cost is slightly dependent on the number of RWGC members that join us but it will not be more than £90 a head.
I look forward to seeing plenty of you out on course.
Hannah
