James Lai is an Associate Director in CallisonRTKL’s London office. He is a LEED Certified architect who has been involved in designing large-scale mixed-use projects in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. James sits on the RIBA Membership Eligibility Assessment Panel, RIBA International Validation Board and RIBA Award Judging Panel.
James is on the Cambridge University Land Society committee and Vice-Chair of the Cambridge Whitehall Group. James is the Co-Chair of Urban Land Institute UK NEXT Group and sits on the ULI Executive Committee. He is also acting as a member of the Wandsworth Council Design review panel and a frequent Guest critics at various Universities in the UK.
Lauren is a Partner in the Real Estate Department at Taylor Wessing LLP whose practice covers all aspects of general commercial real estate, including investment acquisitions and disposals within the retail, industrial, and high-end office sectors, related financing and structuring issues, development, and forward funding agreements. Lauren and the wider Real Estate team at Taylor Wessing LLP frequently advise international clients who are investing in London and the regions.

Tim Gummer is a Partner and Chartered Tax Adviser in the London Tax department of Ashurst LLP. Having originally studied Russian and French at Sidney Sussex College and then having qualified as a solicitor, Tim now advises on all forms of corporate tax with a particular emphasis on real estate taxes. Tim advises a wide variety of clients in relation to the tax aspects of real estate transactions including asset purchases, corporation acquisitions and acquisitions of offshore property unit trusts. Tim also regularly advises on VAT and business rates matters. Tim's clients include a number of major investors from the Asia-Pacific region as well as other international and domestic institutions and private investors.
