From improving journey times across London, to easing congestion and offering better connections, the Elizabeth line will provide easier, quicker and more direct travel opportunities across the capital. Ten new stations are being built in central and southeast London and the Docklands. It is critical that Crossrail gets the design right as the new stations have been designed to last for the next century. Crossrail’s approach has sought to balance the technical challenges of engineering on massive scale with the aspiration to design an excellent customer experience for passengers.
Julian Robinson, Head of Architecture at Crossrail, and Neill McClement, Project Partner at Grimshaw, will present the design vision for the Elizabeth line. Alex Arestis will show how Publica’s concept design for Bond Street makes connections with the new Crossrail station and existing transport infrastructure. This will be followed by a panel discussion about the urban implications of Crossrail and Crossrail 2.
Registration is from 6.30pm and the presentation will start promptly at 6.45pm. A drinks reception will follow.
