Madeleine Cosgrave, Regional Head of Europe for GIC Real Estate will be in conversation with Noel Manns, Principal of Europa Capital LLP.
Madeleine Cosgrave is Regional Head of Europe for GIC Real Estate. Based in London she is responsible for GIC’s investment strategy and real estate portfolio in Europe. GIC is Singapore’s Sovereign Wealth fund and is an early entrant among institutional investors in real estate. Investments include traditional private real estate (brick-and-mortar assets), public and private equities (such as real estate operating companies), real estate investment trusts and real estate-related debt instruments. The real estate assets span multiple property sectors, including office, retail, residential, industrial and hospitality. GIC actively manages the assets to generate income and enhance market value through tenant management, market positioning, leasing and capital improvements.
Prior to joining GIC Real Estate in 1999, she spent 10 years at JLL, joining the graduate scheme and rotating through valuation, fund management and capital markets. During her time there she worked as a development consultant in Sydney and after that in the Central London leasing and development team.
She graduated from Newnham College, Cambridge in 1989 where she read Land Economy. She is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a former chair of the INREV Investor Platform and of the ICSC Diversity Steering Committee.
