David Prout joined the Department for Transport in January 2013 as Director-General, High Speed Two, with overall responsibility for delivering the High Speed 2.
Before joining DfT, David was Director General of the Communities/Localism Group at the Department for Communities and Local Government, a role he took up having been Executive Director, Planning and Borough Development for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea from 2007-09.
David has also worked in Director roles at the Department for Communities and Local Government (2004-09), as Private Secretary and Principle Private Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister (1999-2004) and as Environment Attaché UK Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels (1995-98)
He will give an update and briefing on the main aspects of the programme, progress to date and next steps, and he will in particular include proposals for development in HS2 station places.
Registration is from 5.30pm with tea and coffee. The talk will start at 6pm and be followed by a drinks reception.
