The CULS Rural Forum invites you to join us for a day at Woburn Abbey, the Historic Seat of the Dukes of Bedford for nearly 400 years and one of the great Treasure Houses of England. Set at the heart of this fascinatingly diversified 13,000 acre estate is a Safari Park, Golf Club, Hotel and Deer Park (home to nine species of deer). The Abbey has one of the finest private collections of art in the UK including 21 Canalettos and is surrounded by a recently renovated Humphry Repton garden.
The itinerary is as follows:
- 10 am for 10.30am arrival (directions to follow)
- Tea and Coffee
- 10.30 am Talk by Estate Manager
- 11.00 am Talk by Deer Manager
- 11.30 am Guided Tour of the Recently Renovated Repton Gardens by the Gardens Manager
- 1pm Lunch (Soup, Sandwiches, Tea & Coffee) and free time to explore
- 2.30pm Guided tour of the Abbey
- 4.00pm Depart
