Paul Clark, Director of Investment & Asset Management, The Crown Estate
Paul has overall responsibility for the investment strategy across The Crown Estate’s UK based £8.6 billion portfolio which includes major Central London and regional retail assets within a portfolio covering the commercial, residential, rural, coastal and offshore energy sectors. Previously he was responsible for the Church Commissioners £1.7 billion property investment portfolio both in the UK and overseas.
In addition to its own funds, The Crown Estate also manages £1bn of third party funds with three West End joint ventures with Norges Bank Investment Management (Regent Street), Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan and Oxford Properties (both mixed use development schemes in St James’s). Significant current activity includes 700,000 sq. ft of mixed use development under construction in the West End. The Crown Estate is also very active outside London with £1.5bn of retail parks and shopping centres within its portfolio, and significant exposure to strategic land activities.
During his career Paul has also worked for M&G Asset Management, DTZ, and Hemmingway Properties and is also currently a non-executive Director of Ronson Capital Partners.
