The challenges of getting to Net Zero are ever more apparent from discussions at COP26. Whilst we recognise that investment in new technologies is crucial for curtailing and countering GHG emissions, to what extent does our sector’s approach to Net Zero rely on innovation and on deployment of new technologies?

Ami Kotecha, Co-Founder, and Director, Amro Real Estate Partners
Ami is Co-Founder and Head of Venture Investments at Amro Partners. In her current role, she leads Amro’s newly established venture investments arm that is focussed on investing in technology solutions that enable sustainable development, connected communities and financial inclusion in the built environment sector. Prior to spearheading the new strategy, Ami played an active, leadership role in the real estate side of the business. She has significant experience in leading multi-disciplinary design and delivery teams for development projects in the UK and in Spain.
Ami is involved in several industry associations in a voluntary capacity. She is a board member of the UK Proptech Association, the LSE Venture Advisory Board and is a committee member at the Cambridge University Land Society and chair of the ESG & Sustainability Forum.
Ami graduated with an Economics degree from the London School of Economics and holds an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Cambridge

Rahul Parekh – Principal @ 2150
Rahul has been on both sides of the table having founded and exited a VC-backed business. Before joining 2150, Rahul co-founded EatFirst, which he ran as CEO for several years before the company was acquired in 2020. He was also a managing director in Rocket Internet’s investment team, focussed primarily on urban mobile on-demand businesses. He began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he spent eight years as an executive director in equity derivatives trading.
Rahul graduated from the University of Cambridge with an M.A. in economics. He became passionate about sustainability after studying the impact of mass-urbanisation on living standards in developing countries and then witnessing this first-hand during a trip to India in 2007.
Rahul’s personal commitment to sustainability in 2021 is to switch to 100% renewable energy at home.
Tanguy Quero – Growth Principal @ JLL Spark
Tanguy Quero has over 15 years’ experience in Real Estate innovation and transformation. He has joined JLL Spark, as Growth Principal in September 2018. Prior to this role, He has been scaling JLL’s online leasing business in EMEA. Tanguy was CMO, CDO and Board Member of JLL France from 2006 to 2015 with a track record of establishing data-driven innovation programs to generate incremental business and drive cultural change. Before joining JLL, he started his career at Arthur Andersen where he held digital marketing and brand management roles.
KONSTANTINOS MATSOUKAS – SENIOR ASSOCIATE [HEAD OF BENELUX + FRANCE] Proptech, Venture Capital
Kosta combines sound theoretical knowledge with practical know-how. After successfully completing his bachelor’s degree in business administration and his master’s degree in strategy and innovation, Kosta gained diverse experience on both sides of the negotiating table, for example at the startups Learnity.com (German Udemy) and Infarm (largest in supermarket installed vertical farming start up) as well as at the investors Rheingau Founders (well known for Lieferando (Monopol in delivery in Germany + participated in the inception of RealxData, which was recently acquired by Moodys US) and Wayra (O2 Accelerator – Scouted ebot7 + inception of Foodora). He has been an active member of the PropTech1 investment team since 2020 and Team lead since mid 2020.
