Walking tour of Ebbsfleet Garden City, led by David Prout, the Chairman of the Development Corporation.
The current Government has been clear in their ambitions to reinvigorate the New Towns programme and identify locations for development of 10,000+ homes across the county. Therefore, it feels like a high time the CULS residential forum visited an emerging large scale residential settlement.
Ebbsfleet is the first garden city in 100 years and is being created across 2,500 acres of previously used, brownfield land on the Kent Thames riverside. So far, over 5,000 homes have been delivered on the site with ambitions for 15,000 homes by 2035.
The tour will be led by the Chairman of the Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, David Prout, and will consist of orientation at the Development Corporation headquarters, followed by an opportunity to see the landscaping, residential areas and local centre.
The event will be held on the afternoon of the 11th June – meeting at Ebbsfleet International Station (19 minute train from Kings Cross St Pancras) at 3pm.
