Annual CEO Talk given By Richard Rees, Managing Director, Savills (UK) Ltd

Richard is Managing Director at Savills (UK) Limited and head of National Development Services. He has over 25 years’ experience in the Development, Funding and Agency markets.
Richard originally joined Savills as a Graduate in 1989, qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1991 and obtained a Master of Philosophy Degree and an M Phil Land Economy (distinction) at Cambridge University in 1993. He became a Director of Savills in 2000 when he was instrumental in setting up the firm’s Bristol office. Further to that, Richard was appointed Head of Savills Western Region in 2008.
In 2012, Richard joined the newly formed Savills UK Executive Committee and in 2013 became Head of National Development Services, comprising over 750 people across the areas of Development, Planning and Residential Development Sales within the UK. He specialises in significant development projects providing consultancy and strategic advice across both the residential and commercial sectors.
Richard is an acknowledged expert in the Development industry with strong connections in Homes England, the Home Builders Federation and the Housebuilding sector. Furthermore he has been an Expert Witness on numerous occasions as well as regularly speaking at various industry conferences and seminars.
