The Alistair Ross Goobey Prize 2025 Conor Brice

2 March 2026

Conor Brice

Born and bred in South Africa, I have a longstanding interest in the built environment, particularly property development and the role property plays in shaping economic growth. Cambridge was the ideal place to explore my interests and became an opportunity I couldn’t resist.
My dissertation examined the effects of unconventional monetary policy on REIT returns, exploring how macro-financial regimes influence real asset performance. I have since taken these interests into my professional work, where I focus on property development and portfolio allocation through a macroeconomic lens. Outside of real estate, you’ll find me surfing along the coastlines of South Africa.
