We are delighted to have been given access to a private guided tour of the new Supreme Court building in Parliament Square by Martin Thompson, member of the Supreme Court Executive Team.
Prior to the tour there will be a short talk on the work of the Supreme Court given by Christopher Knight, Judicial Assistant to Lord Mance.
The Supreme Court:
§ is the final court of appeal for all United Kingdom civil cases, and criminal cases from England, Wales and Northern Ireland
§ hears appeals on arguable points of law of general public importance
§ concentrates on cases of the greatest public and constitutional importance
§ maintains and develops the role of the highest court in the United Kingdom as a leader in the common law world
We are strictly limited to only 60 attendees for this tour so early booking is recommended
The Supreme Court tour will be followed by drinks (from approx 7.00pm – 7.15pm) in the Upper Room of the Westminster Arms, 9-10 Storey’s Gate, London SW1P 3AT.
